Some Perazzi over/under target guns are simply tools...little in the way of engraving and rather plain wood. And of course they break clay targets just fine. However, some are both --- a most efficient tool AND an example of the gunmaker's finest art with highly figured wood and fine, deep chiseled hand engraved receivers and barrels. This fine Perazzi Mirage Sporter, which is the same gun as the MX8 with more special features, is the latter. Set up as a fine sporting clays gun with 10 screw-in chokes and lively 8lb. 2oz. weight, balanced 1/8' ahead of the hinge pin, sn42115 was built in 1977 and later sent out to Italy for the deep chiseled foliate and vine engraving and 5 heavy raised gold inlays of game birds. Still in the maker's case, the gun has seen careful and light use. The previous owner had many fine guns and really never used this one. The 100% metal finishes, drop out trigger group, flawless walnut stocks make this an attractive Perazzi over/under. This gun also has a 10mm rib, ported barrels to reduce recoil and muzzle flip, flat main springs in the drop out trigger group for the fastest lock times, and a 30 day shooting warranty. Perazzi is the accepted leader in the target gun world, with incredible durability and more Olympic and International awards than any other gun maker. The value of this gun will hold or increase, as the cost of new Perazzi guns continues to rise. This is essentially a brand new gun!
