Description:
This is a very early Japanese Type 14 pistol rig, made in September of 1928 at the Tokyo arsenal and is in excellent original condition, retaining about 98% of it beautiful  blue finish with just a few tiny spots of holster wear, and a couple of tiny areas of freckling/light peppering as per pictures, mainly on the left rear of the frame. Nearly all the blue is intact on the grip straps. The gun is all matching including the grips, magazine and all the small parts. The firing pin and the firing pin spring retainer are correctly unserialized. Bore is mint. Grips are excellent. The holster is an original early style with brass fittings and no provision for the spare firing pin. It is in excellent original condition as well. Early Tokyo made guns are, arguably, the best finished examples of Type 14 pistols. The production started at the Tokyo arsenal in May of 1928 and very few guns were produced per month. This gun is a low serial number of 1275 and was made in the 5th month of production. These are the most desirable of all Tokyo arsenal produced guns. As I had not fired this gun, a thorough gunsmith inspection is recommended before firing. 3-day inspection. FFL or C&R, except in states, municipalities and other localities, where a full 01FFL is required for transfer(CA, NJ). If you are not sure - please, contact me. No sales to Chicago, NY City. $35 insured shipping in CONUS.
