Description:
Parker DHE 16 Gauge Side-by-Side Shotgun
28", GORGEOUS WOOD, GREAT PRICE!

General Specs: Parker, Year 1926, 16 Gauge, 6lbs 14oz, SxS
Serial Number: 216382

In the world of vintage American shotguns, Parker reigns supreme.  Parker Gun Collectors Association is unquestionably the longest standing, best organized of the collectors associations focusing on double shotguns, Parker has the most recognizable name, and Parker in fact made some of Americas finest shotguns.  In the way of grades, most agree that the DH Grade is the first to show fine engraving with game scenes, well figured wood with drop points and fancy checkering, fine Titanic steel barrels, and the features that bring pride with owning a fine Parker shotgun.  They made only 1178 DH Grade Parkers in 16ga. and Titanic fluid steel barrels, and only about 660 had ejectors.  This fine Parker made in 1926 is one of the 660 made.  With gorgeous figure in its walnut stocks, perfect wood to metal fit, perfect screws, clear sharp engraving, strong well timed ejectors, 28" barrels, excellent mechanics and shooting dimensions, it is the perfect upland bird and vintage clays gun.  Somewhere along the way somebody installed Briley screw-in chokes to make this Parker a most versatile shooting machine.  With your choice of SK, IC, LM, M, and Full chokes you can hunt anything from woodcock in the tightest quarters with SK/IC chokes, to late season pheasants with the M/F chokes.  When trying to win that trophy at the vintage shoot, you can change your chokes to suit the station at hand and break more birds.  Now some vintage double guys say you shouldn't have a pocket full of chokes to make your gun more versatile, but instead a full quiver of guns to choose from for the game at hand.  WELL, some of us can't afford multiple guns for various situations.  Screw-in chokes allows us to do it all well with one gun.  Now that just seems smart.  This Parker is in top condition and priced to be an affordable, highly engraved, beautifully stocked treasure for your shooting pleasures.  A fine Parker for now and generations to come.  Thanks for looking!
