Description:
Pre-64 Winchester Model 70 sight alignment tags that were part of the box contents for new rifles. They were put on the trigger guard after the rifles were test fired and sighted in. These vary by time period: those used on Pre-War and Transition rifles up to the early 1950s, those used from the early 1950s to 1961 and those used in 1962-1963. The Pre-War/Transition tags are for 30-06 rifles only and are very rare. The later tags are "fill in the blank" for caliber and bullet weight. All are in excellent condition and have the factory white strings. Prices vary from $25 to $35.
