Description:
For sale, a beautiful Colt Police Positive double action revolver made in 1928 chambered for the .38 S&W cartridge. This little beauty has a 4 inch barrel and checkered walnut grips. The original Colt factory blue finish rates a conservative 98%. There is virtually no finish wear on the revolver, only some small handling dings on the left side above the trigger, and a tiny little scratch on the right side forward of the trigger. All of the screws look untouched; I don't believe it has ever been opened up. The bore and cylinder bores are mirror bright. It is possible that this gun has never been fired since the day it was test fired at the Colt factory. There is no power residue on the forcing cone or the face of the cylinder. The cylinder has a very faint drag line that is only visible upon close inspection. The factory checkered walnut grips are in excellent conditon and they fit the revolver perfectly. The checkering is still sharp and crisp. There is no carry wear visible on either grip panel. The grip straps both front and rear are perfect and show no thinning of the factory blue finish. The fit and finish of these pre-WW2 Colt revolvers is second to none. This is just a beautiful little Colt that would be at home in any collection, and would be nearly impossible to upgrade in condition.
