Description:
It's NAGEL & MENZ. An early “Kipplauf” style back action, rebounding hammer single shot rifle with Jones underlever, double set triggers, 28” full octagon barrel signed, “NAGEL & MENZ in BADEN-BADEN” with excellent bore. Appears to be one of the 450 Long german versions of the 450BPE. The rifle is tight as new with original one standing rear and with machined matting fore & aft of the blade front sight. Near mint, nicely figured, straight grip, cheekpiece, full stock wood with crisp original checkering heel & toe plates and checkered butt. Forend shows percussion styling, the forward portion with flat bottom where ramrod pipes would have been mounted. TRADE CONSIDERED
