Description:
Parker DH 16 Gauge Side-by-Side Shotgun
"0 FRAME, 90% FACTORY CASE COLOR, 5 3/4 LBS!

General Specs: Parker, Year 1903, 16 Gauge "O" Frame, 5lbs 13oz, SxS
Serial Number: 116327

Ahhh!  The magic Parker...the 16ga. gun on a 20 gauge frame (or "0" frame), light as a feather to carry all day in tough terrain, balanced to perfection, apparently floating in your hands as it comes up lightning quick to your shoulder when a bird finally flushes before you.  This is the ultimate grouse, woodcock, quail gun...any game that hangs in thick terrain and flushes quickly.  Even pheasants in the thick stuff over good dogs.  This Parker DH, sn116327 built in 1903, weighs in at 5lbs. 13oz. with its factory 26" Titanic Steel barrels, choked Cyl/LM (.001 right barrel, .013 restriction left barrel).  This gun is exceptional in other ways as well.  The engraving is amongst the best you will ever see on a Parker DH, with very detailed scroll and game scenes, the bores are mirror shiny, the bore diameter is factory original at .663 ID.  The screws are perfect, the stock dimensions very modern with 14 1/8" LOP, 2 1/4" drop at heel, 1 1/2" drop at the nose of comb, neutral cast (we can bend the stock to our needs within 2 weeks of purchase), and the mechanics are crisp and superb.  There is a full 90% factory case color, fading as it is and more visible in person.  The wood to metal fit is superb, checkering excellent...what a gun!  The price will reflect the one issue this gun has, and that is the stock was short and the previous owner had a unique way to extend the LOP to a useable number.  Look at the photos and you will see they added about 1 1/2" of wood to the butt and then checkered the added section.  It actually looks pretty nice the way it is, and it is ready to shoot.  We can also restock the butt stock to your specified dimensions with a gorgeous piece of wood of your choice, including a skeleton butt plate for an additional $3500-$4000, depending on your choice of wood.  This would really change the value of the gun and make it look exactly Parker.  We thought we should put this gun out as it is in case someone would love to have an "0" framed Parker 16 gauge DH grade gun for a good price, or that someone with special stock needs can have it built to their specifications.  You almost NEVER SEE HIGH GRADE 16 GAUGE GUNS ON AN "0" OFFERED FOR SALE.  This is a rare opportunity to own the gun for a great price.  Thanks for looking!
