Description:
Made in Birmingham circa 1840, this .36 caliber, six shot pistol is in excellent original condition. It is in good working order and the nipples are excellent. It retains 95% of its German silver finish on the frame, and about 10% of its color case-hardened finish on the barrels and hammer. The floral engraving on the frame, trigger guard, backstrap, and butt cap are sharp and crisp. The 2 1/2 inch barrels are fluted and each bears the Birmingham firing proof stapms. The gun case is of undetermined age and includes a mold, a tamping/cleaning rod and two vintage cap tins. there is no flask.
