Unbelievable, really,this pre-war 75 year old gun has the appearance of being in avault since it was made.It appeto be vitually unused.. Not a scratch, rust spot, pinprick or rub mark anywhere. It needs the hang tag and the box and that would make it just about "NIB". The gun is from an estate where both parties are deceased and has been in a steel chest locked for the last since God knows when the estate manager says. It certainly has no sign of use anywhere.
I would rate the finish at 99.99% just because there might the very slightest bit of sharp edge silvering these old eyes missed. The wood is a beautifully matched walnut, again flawless. The De Luxe double bordered hand checkering is pristine. There isn't a nick, flattened point or a crack anywhere.
The front barrel band and the buttstock have the special order factory installed sling swivel bases. The steel butt plate and brown plastic grip are also pristine.
The cartridge loading door, bolt face and feed ramp show no use. It operates perfectly and locks up tight. The bore is mirror bright with razor sharp rifling. There is no frost to be seen at all. Pre-war quality at its finest.
