Description:
Serial #SV739106, .38 Special, 4” barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This revolver has matching numbers on the frame, cylinder, barrel, extractor, and yoke with the metal retaining 90-92% of the original gray-green phosphate finish that has silvered lightly on the sides of the barrel, along the exposed edges, and on the light turn-ring on the cylinder. The topstrap has crisp U.S. Ordnance Dept. “flaming bomb”, and “US PROPERTY GHD” inspection stamp to the left of the sighting channel, while the hammer and trigger have much of the original color case-hardening remaining, although the trigger does have some darker sposts along the sides. The smooth walnut grips are numbered to the gun on the interior and are in fine shape with only some very small spots of finish loss and a handful of minor handling marks and blemishes around the butt. The revolver is housed in a tan leather private purchase holster that has standard U.S. pistol belt hooks on the back. The leather is in very good shape with light surface scuffs throughout, however the leather is still supple and inyacy. This is a very nice World War II Victory Model in very good-fine condition overall. FFL or C&R
