Marlin 336 Sport carbine. Cal. 35 Remington Ser. K 151XX.
I just discovered this 1953 manufactured gun. This beauty is really quite rare. I have been lead to believe that less than10% of all model 336s were sport carbines. (I. E. 20 inch barrel, three quarter magazine, and large deep belly forearm , see the pics).
This little cabinet queen is about as new as a 63 year old gun can be. Not a pin prick, rust spot or rub mark. The metal parts retaining about 99.9 of the original factory high polish blue. The real walnut stock and deep bellied forearm are flawless. No chip, crack or ding. They stlil have 99.9% 0f the original factory lacquer.
The famous Marlin bull's eye is still present. All parts match and are proper for the gun. It operates properly and locks up tight. The bore is awesome, factory new, briliant as the sun with razor sharp rifling.
What a find for the serious collector or ardent shooter......$895.
