First year production model 1886 in the desireable 45-90 WCF.shipped Dec.8,1886 according to the factory letter.This rifle has a 26" round barrel with an exceptionally bright clean bore.The rifling is sharp and the bore is free of any rust or pits.Really remarkable for a 130 year old rifle.The receiver and barrel have turned a smooth overall grey patina.The wood is sound with no cracks or damage other than a few light handling marks.The action is tight and smooth and the trigger breaks cleanly.The wood is tight to the action and to the crescent butt.This is a great example of the early 1886 in a great caliber.Classified as an antique.
