The original factory Ducolite finish on this 1943 first contract gun. The finish is thinning in some spots but the only loss appears to be some sharp edge and muzzle silvering. There is little or no slide rubs or for that matter any graying of the grip straps. There is a small rub mark on the bottom of the trigger guard but not the usual holster rub mark on the right side of the frame.
The top of the slide is P stamped and the right rear of the frame has a surprisingly clear crossed cannon ordinance stamp. The left side of the frame is stamped FJA inspectors mark and a P proof.
The brown plastic grips are the proper small ring type.
The bore is outstanding. Bright with sharp, crisp rifling with the just the vaguest hint of use. The barrel is a correct High Standard. The gun comes with one M.S. Little stamped magazine. Which like the barrel is correct for the gun. A winner for the range or collection. $2595.
