This is a very rare and hard to find Robert Burt Factory Engraved Colt Trooper III. The revolver comes with a letter from the factory explaining how it was sent to the wrong location and they want to get the gun back. (This did not happen) Robert Burt was the Colt Master Engraver when he engraved this 1 or 2 of a kind revolvers. The engraving is delicate but bold and in excellent condition “C grade”. This revolver looks like it may have been fired a little and there is a turn line and a touch of muzzle wear. The checkered wood grips are like new and have an interesting style. This may be one of only a very few Troopers that were engraved at the factory. If you are a collector of rare and fine Colt revolvers you will want this one.
