#9452, Waffenfabrik Mauser Oberndorf a/n: A Totally Original Commercial Mauser Sporter Type B in 8x57 Made in 1905 That Remains in Excellent Original Condition, 24” round tapered barrel, Tangent rear sight adjustable from 50 to 1000 meters, Barrel mounted forward sling swivel, Correct pear shaped bolt handle, Double set triggers, Non-hinged floorplate, The receiver ring and bridge were never drilled or tapped, Traditional half-stock style stock, Cheekpiece, Near wrap around point pattern checkering on the grip only, Every serial number everywhere matches including the stock, The internal inletting remains in as new condition, 14" LOP over the intertwined "WFM" horn buttplate, 7 Lbs., This piece is absolute Pre-WWI correct with "Waffenfabrik Mauser Oberndorf A-G Oberndorf A/N on the receiver side, The original barrel & receiver blue remains at 96%, the original stock finish at 95%, the checkering is at 98%, the bore looks like it did 111 years ago when it left the banks of the Neckar River. This very piece is in excellent original condition. This is one neat Pre-WWI Type B with double set triggers. This piece is recorded and listed in Jon Speed's great Mauser book. This piece has lived a good life for 111 years.
