Description: This is a replica black powder FIRING, brass, "Brook's USA" 24 Pounder barrel with a 1" bore. It's weight is approx. 16 pounds of hand crafted brass. Length is approx. 13" and diameter is 3" at the breech. This firing carriage is made of oak & custom made by me specifically for this barrel. Overall dimensions mounted is approximately 14" wide, 19" long, 10" tall & weighs 28 lbs. We can now offer a Brooks 24 pounder brass barrel mounted on one of my custom beautifully crafted naval carriages. The hand forged iron is painted flat black with brass accent pieces and the carriage is stained Jacobean. This solid oak carriage replica models a typical British four wheel carriage used on board ships in the 18th and 19th centuries. Recoil and repositioning was controlled with ropes and blocks secured to a bulkhead wall. The barrel is the Brooks USA 24 pounder with a one inch bore, machined of 3" diameter solid brass stock and known as the Brooks Golden Gun. Note- Implements are optional at an extra cost.
