A. Venables of Oxford is an old and well respected English gun maker family that was in business for 139 years. Established in 1846 and they were in Business in Oxford until 1985. This matched pair was made to the highest standards and are in excellent condition. Features include the Purdey style hidden third bite and some of the highest quality rose and scroll engraving I have ever seen. These guns come with their original oak & leather case. It is so hard in these times to find guns in their original case.

Researching what records we have it appears these fine guns were built between the wars in the mid 1930\'s.
