Description:
Expertly carved Antique Water Spaniel walking stick. I date it late 19th century. The handle is a very well carved Water Spaniel dog with glass eyes and brass tack decorated collar. The overall measurement of the walking stick 33". The shaft is highly polished Blackthorn with all the thorns completely remove and polish to smooth. Blackthorn is a wood prized as it was less prone to cracking during use . The ferrule is silver and has a solid metal tip. All parts are tight and secure, ready to swagger.
Over all, this walking stick has a wonderful patina and is in excellent original condition and would make a great addition to any collection or wardrobe. A real beauty.
