CLASSIC SINGLE ACTION ARMY .45 COLT, 7 1/2" BARREL, #268XXX, MADE 1905, nice early smokeless model from the turn of the last century, another one that came out of Arizona, matching numbers, overall a fairly smooth gray/brown with blue in the most protected areas of the cylinder flutes, barrel frame juncture, some blue on the barrel around the cylinder pin, blue remains on the sides of the trigger guard bow, nice screws and cylinder pin, exc. markings, front sight has not been filed down, fairly bright bore with deep rifling and has some scattered pits that might clean out better, grips are solid and not chipped with very good fit- right grip a bit more worn than the left which is typical from right hand holster carry where that exposed panel gets rubbed and worn more than the protected left panel, fine action, 7 1/2" barrels are quite scarce during this early smokeless era from about 1900 and onward as the shorter barrels predominated production as the long barrels (that we collectors like so much!) fell out of favor, great caliber cowboy gun from 111 years ago!
