Payment Types Accepted: checks, cashiers/bank check, money order Description: INTERESTING WORLD WAR II PRODUCTION MODEL 64 IN RARE .219 ZIPPER, less than 1,000 of this caliber was made during the Great Depression, what makes this one interesting is that it is a very late production example in the 1377XXX serial range, what's unusual is that it is fitted with a period M. L. Stith slightly offset scope mount made expressly for the Model 64 with its top ejection, it is also equipped with a Norman-Ford & Co. 7/8" steel tube "The Texan" marked scope (I believe 2.5X) which were made in the late 1940s to early 1950s. It is possible it was factory fitted as this is a very late production rifle that may not have been shipped until after the war even though the .219 Zipper had been discontinued (a parts clean-up gun), there is a filler in the rear sight dovetail and doesn't look like it ever had a rear sight fitted, the bolt is NOT cut for a bolt peep sight, has the correct forend cap made for sling swivel with the two screw base rear swivel in butt stock not inletted (?), correct checkered steel butt plate, 26" barrel, exc. blue on the receiver with only light edge wear and some bottom wear by the serial number, even the upper tang retains most of the deep blue, exc. barrel and mag blue, exc. wood with tight wood to metal fit, tight action and perfect bore, fine optics in the scope with a fine cross hair reticle and some light outside scuffing to the scope blue, Very unusual rifle from the early days of "modern" sporting scope use, and very possibly factory done.
