- Note: By serial number, this gun was manufactured in Oct of 1943. Bore is bright with strong lands and grooves and the firearm is mechanically sound. The gun appears to be possibly an arsenal re-finish. The buttstock bears the government "P" proof mark. The handguard and forestock are of a different wear and color. The base of the grip and the cover plate on the rear sight bear the painted number "27" which more than likely was a National Guard rack number. The wood shows some handling abrasions. The Parkerizing on the metal surfaces is in good condition.
