Description:
Probably the nicest pepperbox you will ever find. It really looks like it was made yesterday. This is the ultimate find for a collector of fine English pepperboxes or for a discerning collector who appreciates quality and wants to own the finest on the market. This pistol has seen little, if any use. It could be unfired.

The 6  blued  barrels are numbered 1 to 6 and are 3 & 1/2" long.  The overall length of this pistol is 8 & 3/4".  The barrels are all tight, there is no play and they revolve properly when the percussion hammer is moved by the trigger. The action is strong.  The rest of the metal including the action, trigger guard, grip straps, butt cap and cap box cover in the bottom of the grip are all case colored and retain 99%+ of the beautiful multi-colors.There is a safety and it works properly. The walnut grips are finely checkered. All of the percussion caps are in good condition. The overall condition of this pistol is 99%+. The lock, hammer, butt cap, trigger guard and barrel screw are all engraved.

John Bentley worked from a shop in London, England from 1852 to 1885 under his own name and then from 1885 to 1900 under the name Bentley  & Playfair.

This is an antique, so it can be sent dierectly to a new proud owner I have owned it for 45 years.
