Description:
This is a Colt 1883 side by side 12 gauge shotgun. This shotgun was manufactured in 1890 and is in superb condition for its age. The bluing on the barrels in in great shape with no pitting and very little wear. The reciever has wear on the edges and handling points as to be expected. The wood furniture appears to have original finish and is in good shape with some small knicks and scratches but no deep gauges. The bore is darker and has some light pitting. The action is very tight. It has 26 3/4" barrels and they are choked IC and Mod. This gun being an antique can ship directly to your house. Yes Colt did make shotguns. They did not make many of these guns due to cost, they were generally custom orders. Inventory # 31136-1
