Great old gun! My uncle bought this rifle new in Eastern oregon in 12/1947. He gave it to my dad in 1950. it spent time in a leather scabbard each season tied to his favorite horses until 1968 when he had a custom rifle made. He had killed several Muley bucks and Five elk with it up till that time. He passed it down to me but I had other guns and have not fired it much. The butt stock is mared and has lost some finish. The fore stock is in good shape. Blueing overall is 70-80%. It has a side mounted Weaver K-4 scope with standard cross hairs Marked El Paso, TX (probably 1950s). It also has a set of Marbles Sporting sites on it with white diamond on rear and brass bead on front. Action functions flawlessly with primo bore. Red rubber Joston Anti-flinch recoil pad. It needs a home where it can make meat again!
