Mauser Luger (S/42) RIG Dated 1937. Ser. 40XX v.
An outstanding example of the famous Luger has it accessories. The gun still has 97-98% of the original factory finish. The 2-3% loss is due to the usual side plate wear, some slight silvering of the sharp edges and muzzle wear. There are no pits, rust spots scratches or rub marks. The grip straps show only the very slightest hint of toning.
The right side of the frame is stamped Drooping Eagle/63, Drooping /63 Drooping Eagle. The barrel, Drooping Eagle. All parts match except one of the grip panels. The wooden grips are super nice with no splits chips or flattened points. The grip screws are as they left the factory, without a blemish.
The bolt face, feed ramp and slide rails have seen very little use. The bore is quite bright. The rifling very sharp and crisp with just the slightest hint of graying. The rig is complete with two proper magazines, not numbered to the gun, a take down tool and a real nice black holster. The leather has some slight surface crazing. All the stitching is intact, with no pits or holes anywhere. The back is stamped, Genschow Ag. Berlin, Drooping Eagle/WaA387, 1937.
