Ortgies (Police) Cal. .32 acp, Ser 2518XX.
This outstanding Ortgies was originally purchased by a German police department. The front strap is stamped "B.S. 116 (Bamberg Schutzpolizie Pistol 116).
The gun itself is in beautiful condition. It is easy to say it has 98-99% of the original factory blue finish. The loss it has is due to some very slight muzzle wear and some very scant sharp edge silvering. The grip straps have not toned to gray at all. A good sign of minimal usage..
All parts are correct. The barrel, frame and slide match. The very unusual rear grip safety works properly. The grip panels have retained about 95% of the original finish with no splits or chips. The left panel has one small surface ding.
The bolt face feed ramp and slide rails show very little use. The barrel is very bright with sharp rifling and just the very vaguest hint of graying.. The gun comes with one proper nickle plated magazine that has with a few small pits on the left side.
For the collector or shooter, a lovely and unusual police pistol.....$375.
