Ketland & Co. 1830s 70 caliber brass barrel smoothbore flintlock pistol. The barrel is 8 5/8” long and is 14 ¼” overall in length. There are three British proof marks on the left side of the barrel and London stamped on the top barrel flat. The metal condition is excellent and wood is excellent. These large bore North West Trade flintlock pistols were very popular in America in the early 19th century. The Ketland Co. began trading overseas here in 1801.
