WILLIAM MOORE & CO. (BIRMINGHAM) 12GA. 30" HAMMER SIDE LEVER SHOTGUN. Circa 1870-1880's. Serial number "11XX" as stamped on forend, water table and barrels along with Birmingham proofs. Damascus barrels choked cylinder and improved cylinder. Lugs peened to expand for better fit. Very good bright bores with little to no signs of pitting and thick walls so never opened up. Forend with original color on hardware and unturned screws. Receiver in original condition with just traces of original color. Original hammers with one replaced screw. Sidelever in original condition weith good tension. Lockplate screws buggered. Tang screws buggered with end of lower tang missing. Triggerhuard loose. Space where tang end was filled with wood filler as are some areas about receiver. Brass escutcheon plate un-engraved. Very nice early FN Browning Automatic horn buttplate affixed to where original was. Working order. Solid stock fit regardless of wood filler and NO cracks or hairlines. Not the tightest fit on face but great set of barrels to do with what you will. Would make a nice project gun or part it out.
