WW2 JAPANESE TYPE 38 6.5 JAP CALIBER MILITARY RIFLE WITH MON BY KOISHIKAWA, CIRCA 1920'S . Koishikawa(Tokyo) arsenal serial number "993XXX" range with preeceding "00" denoting out of service(given to schools, civil service, etc). Known to be in the "no series" group. Receiver stamped with crisp Mon surrounded by small circles also denoting school reissue and Japanese type 38 characters. Correct two-piece stock with light coat of lacquer over original war use so never sanded. This includes someon's initials carved rear of front sling swivel band(obviously GI who captured it or brought it back. All original parts save one rear sling swivel screw and missing cleaning rod. Original blue/black finish overall on all parts. No pitting anywhere. Excellent bore with crisp rifling. Perfect working order.
