Description:
This pre war 1937 dated Tula Arsenal built rifle has no visible import marks. Barrel is 29” with a good plus strongly rifled but slightly dark bore . The receiver and bolt have matching serial numbers, but the buttplate and triggerguard are numbered to different rifles. Metal surfaces are a thinning and fading brown/blue patina. The muzzle end of the barrel has some fine to light spots of pitting and older corrosion. The stock and handguard show use and areas of smoothness that appears to be from use rather than sanding. The toe of the buttstock has some chipping and wood loss with the buttplate proud by about an 1/8th of an inch. The cleaning rod has moderate to heavy pitting concentrated mostly at the bottom half.
