Payment Types Accepted: Check, Money Order Description: Colt Model 1862 Police revolver, 6 1/2" bbl, #7247 (mfd. 1861)---INSCRIBED "J.B. CLARK 1862". James B. Clark served with Co. H, 10th Illinois Cavalry, enlisting Sept. 23, 1861, and reenlisting on Jan. 3, 1864. CW records show him dying in Springfield, IL on Feb. 15, 1864, while in service. The 10th Illinois Cavalry spent the war on the Western Frontier in Missouri, Tennessee and Arkansas. CONDITION: The gun is Fine overall, with 20% blue in protected areas of barrel and cylinder flutes; 40% case color on frame; 15% silver on the brass, and 95% grip varnish. The barrel is the long type at 6 1/2". Bases of pins are still visible on the cylinder. Mechanics and action are very crisp and tight. The name and year are finely, professionally inscribed in period style. Excellent specimen of an historic CW Colt Police. I am a collector, not a dealer. I have owned this gun since 2000.
