MINT WW2 ERA COMMERCIAL J.P. SAUER & SOHN M30 DRILLING IN 16GA/16GA X 8X57 CALIBER, CIRCA 1942. Serial number "3333XX". All matching numbers including barrels, forend and triggerguard tang. 26" solid rib barrel with rib engraved "8x57J.R." on rib with "Krupp'Lufstahl" on both as well "J.P. Sauer & Sohn, Suhl" near breech on both. Underside of barrels marked on both barrels "16/65" (2 1/2" chamber length) and '8x57JR" on rifle barrel. Eagle over "N" and double "S" proofs as well As "4/42" date. Barrels and bores like new with NO losses of color or condition. Hardly any wear on lugs or hinge attest to it's unfired condition. Original sling swivel. Mirror bright bores, chambers and rifling. Receiver stamped with double "S", Eagle/N proof and matching serial number. Case colors brilliant here as well. Factory case colors on outside of receiver 100% and all screws unturned. Triggerguard with same case colors with only color loss at rear of tang where just fading from handling. Factory basic scroll engraving crisp. Greener style safety and Greener crossbolt. Original factory wood almost mint with crisp checkering. 14 1/4" length of pull over factory Sauer hard rubber or plastic buttplate marked "SS/u". Forend same condition with matching serial number and "F". Cocking indicators. Steel engraved pistol grip cap correct. Thumb selector for switch over to rifle works integrally and functions flawlessly. Sling swivel on buttstock factory. Cheekrest correct. Absolutely mint example of commercial version of Luftwaffe drilling.
