Walther (AC-45) P-38, Ser. 37XX b.
Rare, looks brand new and un-fired, but who can tell? Certainly not from it's awesome appearance. Just the very slightest muzzle and sharp edge silvering. Nothing else. No pits, rust or patina anywhere.
The gun is truly in 99% original condition. And factory correct in every way. The slide lever, trigger, right side plate and bolt top plate are in the mottled white finish just as it was when it left the factory. The grip straps have not even started to gray.
All the correct numbered parts match. The right side of the slide is stamped Eagle/356, Eagle/Swastika, Eagle/356. The frame left side is stamped Eagle/356.
Now the rare part. The barrel group is rare and is stamped Eagle/WaA76, code for "fnh", Bohmische Waffenfabrik in Prague CZ. A company that had a small contract to supply Walther with P-38 barrels towards the final days of the war..
The proper black plastic grips are flawless, no chips, cracks or rub marks. The bolt face, slide rails and feed ramp show little or no use. The bore, like the rest of the gun, is super. Mirror bright with razor sharp crisp rifling.
The gun comes with one minty correct, as issued, magazine. The spine is stamped "JVD, Eagle/356, Eagle/WaA 706.The side, stamped P-38. A true center piece to any military pistol collection...... $1695.
