Ithaca NID Grade II Special Order 12 Ga. Ser. 4988XX. LOP 14 1/4", 30" barrels. Choked IMP. CYL. & MOD.
Just an awesome Special Order shotgun. This gun has a very unusual rosewood inlaid beaver tail forearm and dual cocking indicators. This the first time I have seen either on a Grade II NID.
The condition is just outstanding. The beautifully engraved frame and trigger guard assembly are in the white with no sign of wear, rust, pitting or rub marks. The barrel group, like the frame, shows no real wear and is at least 97-98% original factory finish. There are just a few very minor hairline surface scratches on them and some very slight toning toward the receiver.
The wide checkered barrel rib is in super shape with two original Ivory beads. The walnut stock and inlaid beaver tail forearm have no sign of wear. The hand bordered checkering is in perfect condition with no chips, dings, splits or flattened points.
Neither the stock nor the forearm show any use and are in perfect condition.
The bores are, like the rest of the gun, minty mirror bright and flawless. The gun locks up tight andcthe safety and the unusual cocking indicators work perfectly.
What a beautiful 1920's gun that has spent almost all its life in a gun cabinet.... . ****REDUCED TO $2995***
