Very nice original Colt shipped on May 25, 1894 to Simmons Hardware Co., St. Louis, Missouri.
All numbers match and 10 to 15% original case hardened colors and bluing remain as shown in the photos.
The aged single piece ivory grips are LEGAL under the new Federal ban and well fitted to the grip frame. They appear to have been put on the gun for quite some time. The period correct custom engraving was inspired by 19th century masters like Nimschke and includes a signed certificate of authenticity from the artist. The timing and lockup are pretty fresh for a 122 year old revolver which most likely is fit to be fired. I will consider reasonable offers and/or equivalent value WWI and WWII 1911's as trades. Consult a qualified gunsmith before attempting to fire any used or antique firearm.
