H. Aston & Co. Model 1842 Muzzleloader Pistol. Cal: .54. Barrel Length: 8 1/2". Martially marked Cap and Ball horse pistol with all brass furniture. Showing sub-inspector marks with a light brown patina. Excellent Walnut stock. It shows two inspector's cartouches and one small initials stamp on the left flat. Lock is tight and functions Gun could use some professional cleaning. This excellent pistol is very pleasing to see because of original condition and many crisp marks. Stamping 1852. Condition: Good.
