26" matted-flat-topped Lancaster-oval-bored round barrel with dovetailed fine bead front sight, 1 standing and 2 folding leaf sights. Figured walnut stock with horn-tipped, snap-fit splinter forend, round knob half-pistol grip, classic point pattern checkering with mullered borders, and striated wood butt. Fine rose & scroll engraved sidelock action with Purdey underbite, cocking on extended-length toplever, automatic ejector, and with automatic top tang safety with SAFE inlaid in gold. Pull: 14 1/8". Weight: 4lbs, 12oz. Built 1901. Retaining 99% barrel blue, 60% casehardening colors. Excellent bore. In maker's leather-trimmed canvas trunk case with trade label, numerous cleaning accessories and a vintage unopened box of Remington UMC .38 Long Colt cartridges.
