Description:
Built on an early WWI era Springfield Armory frame, this 1911 has a Colt slide, and a Colt commercial barrel. Full coverage scroll engraving and nickel plating were completed by DW Harris. Smooth ivory grips go well with the natural hue of nickel. The non-scalloped frame has a flat mainspring housing with the lanyard loop removed, the original style short grip safety, and the checkered wide spur hammer. A later style short checkered trigger makes trigger reach easier while matching the checkered slide stop, magazine release, and thumb safety.
There is some wear in the markings on the slide. This pistol has some wear on part movement surfaces. There are some blemishes in the finish from age and use. The bore is bright with strong rifling.
