Description: This is a 1911 manufacture Winchester Model 1894 rifle in the scarce 25-35 WCF caliber. It is a takedown variation, otherwise all other features are standard - 26" full octagon barrel, full magazine, and crescent rifle butt. Receiver, lever, forend cap and butt plate all are silver and exhibit light pinprick oxidation on the surface only, nothing deep. Takedown feature is tight with no wobble. Barrel exhibits 60% fine aged blue turned plum with brighter blue in the last 5" at the barrel end and also in the protected areas around the forearm, rear sight, and flats closer to the magazine tube. Magazine tube mostly silver with nice bright blue the last 6 to 8" at the end. All markings legible and correct for the period of manufacture. Has correct takedown lever with patent date. Original front sight is marked "Pat. Nov. 4, 1902" and has the set screw. Rear sight is the correct, factory semi-buckhorn style with the "Pat. Feb 5, 1901" thumbprint elevator. Action is tight, half-cock safety functions properly. Bore is very good, strong rifling, minor wear and only very light thinly-scattered pitting, not dark in the grooves and should make a great shooter upon inspection by a competent gunsmith. Stocks are sound, never sanded or refinished, showing normal usage marks and wear due to age but no major issues, no abuse, no extra holes. All in all a solid takedown rifle in a desirable caliber that is unfooled with and has all of its original parts. No international sales. Must ship to FFL or C&R license holder. No sales to California FFL; CA C&R OK. Payment via discreet PayPal, USPS money order, or bank check only. 3 day non-firing / no-disassembly inspection. Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. Thanks for looking!!
