Description:
This is a Winchester 1886 rifle in .40-65 WCF. The serial number dates to 1888. The receiver has strong patina with some spots of pitting on the loading gate, the receiver flats, and the bottom of the receiver. The lever shows blue remaining with some light pitting spots. The 26 inch octagon barrel has Good patina with some wear along the edges and some dings on the muzzle, but the crown shows no damage. The bore has strong rifling with visible pitting. The full length magazine tube has Good patina. The straight grip stock is in Very Good condition with traces of varnish still visible.
