Description:
Serial #16317, .31 Caliber, 4” octagon barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is one of 500 cased sets made between 1979 – 1980, and comes with a complete set of accessories. The revolver retains 99% plus of the original blue finish with a very minor turn-ring, and a few negligible marks at the rear of the barrel on the right side, just behind the wedge. The frame has retained nearly all of the original color case-hardening, and the silver plated trigger guard has begun to develop a pleasant bluish-purple tarnish. The walnut grip is in excellent shape with only a handful of minor handling marks in the original varnish. The revolver comes in its original gold velvet-lined presentation case with Samuel Colt inlay on the lid. The French-fitted case also contains: a small Dixon style powder flask, double cavity bullet mould, combination nipple wrench and screwdriver, and a small Eley cap tin. The exterior of the case exhibits some light surface wear that actually imparts a nice antique look, making it look older than it is.
