Description:
sale pending to DW in Colorado. Very nicely done Hornet conversion of a 1922 Springfield. This rifle design was the result of work between Whelen, Wotkyns and a few others. It was probably originally built by Griffin and Howe but does not carry their name. It does have another gunsmiths name on the barrel, perhaps he re-barreled it?
The photos speak for themselves...bore is excellent, and the Hensoldt scope was rebuilt with a new reticle by Iron Sights Inc in Oklahoma. Note this has the single lever Griffin and Howe side mount too...its a very early gun. Must ship to an FFL.
