Starr Arms Model 1863 .44 Percussion, 8 inch barrel, 6 shot single action, Serial #38918, brown patina with some pitting and freckling, crisp frame markings, original one piece wood grips in very good condition, produced 1863-1865, many were used in the American Civil War. The Union aquired 25,000 of the single action for $12.00 each. (Action operates but does not lock up tight.)
