What a find this was. This is an honest 98% original factory finish gun. There are no rust, pin pricks or scratches anywhere. The usual loss from the holster is muzzle, side plate and sharp edges which have silvered slightly. Nothing more. The grip straps have not grayed, a real good sign.
The slide is stamped Drooping Eagle/63, Drooping Eagle/63.Drooping eagle. The barrel is also stamped Drooping Eagle. All numbers match including the wooden grips. They are in super condition. No splits, chips or flattened points. The bolt face, feed ramp and slide rails have seen very little use.
The bore is super, very bright with sharp crisp rifling, possibly a hint of frost. The gun is outstanding. It comes with two correct TDX magazines that look renumbered to the gun. They are stamped FXO, Eagle/63 and P-08. The correct take down tool stamped Eagle/656. And a super fine black leather holster.
The condition of the body is great, there are no splits or cuts. The top flap does show some slight surface crazing. All stitching is intact. The back of the holster is stamped, Carl Bocker Waldbrol, 1937, Eagle/WaA137.
A beautiful rig, not without its faults, but priced so anyone can own it..... $2895.
