- Note: This is an original model 1884 trap-door, Springfield rifle in the venerable caliber 45/70. The metal retains 80%+ of original finish, fading due to handling and surface corrosion. The bore is bright with strong lands and grooves with light frosting towards the muzzle. The stock has been cleaned at some point, but all metal parts fit properly. The inspector's cartuche is present but faded. The gun comes with an original 1873 Springfield socket bayonet and scabard with the brass belt loop variation and US stamp.
