Description:
L.C. Smith 2E 20 Gauge Side-by-Side
1 of 393 MADE, ENGLISH STOCK, RARE!

General Specs: LC Smith, Year 1910, 20 Gauge, 6lbs 2oz, SxS
Serial Number: 6228E

L.C. Smith produced its first 20ga. gun in 1907.  Small bore graded guns in the pre-1913 Elsies are very hard to find, and certainly 393 20 ga. guns produced in Grade 2 represents rarity, with likely less than 325 or so left on the planet intact and useable.  Only 91 were made with 26" barrels and likely only a handful with and English style stock. This gun, serial number 6228E made in 1910, is the perfect little upland gun and recently restored to perfection it is gorgeous to look at as well.  At 6lbs. 1oz. and balanced 1/8” ahead of the hinge pin, it is delightful in hand, quick to shoulder, and has nice scroll and game bird engraving representative of the Golden Years of vintage American doubles.  The gun was stripped down to its smallest part, all parts inspected for integrity, then properly lubricated and re-assembled, so it is like new inside and out and ready for your upland and clay target needs.  What a great investment opportunity.  L.C. Smith guns are really gaining in popularity, yet are still affordable when compared to Fox or Parker.  It will be a long time before you see another Grade 2E 20ga. offered for sale, so don't miss your chance at this great gun.  Our in house gunsmiths can make and changes or additions you may need done, so take a close look and then make the buy!
