Rare style “EAGLEHEAD” steel butt cap with the eagle face engraved in the early style of the late Revolutionary War period. Very fine lock with nicely articulated open work cock and pan and frizzen with delicate beading about the perimeter of both. Walnut stock finely carved about the lock and mounts.
