MEXICAN REVOLUTION ERA SPANISH SMITH & WESSON COPY .44 RUSSIAN FRONTIER D.A. REVOLVER DATED 1914. Six shot with 5” barrel. Copy of the D.A. Frontier. Most sold in Mexico during the Revolution and many carried by Poncho Villa’s Militia Cavalry. Checkered horn grips with “1914” date in a cartouche at the top. Eibar, Spain trademark on frame and barrel stamped “FABRICADA EN EIBAR” in barrel. Partial working order with some override of cylinder stop and hand that rotates the cylinder. Cocks and fires on both single and double action. Good bore and chambers. Very colorful and scarce.
