SAVAGE ARMS CO. MODEL 1914 TAKEDOWN .22 LONG, SHORT AND LONG RIFLE PUMP RIFLE, CIRCA 1914-24. Serial number "301XX". 24" octagonal barrel with factory sights(rear "Savage Arms…..1914"). Mint bore and rifling. 90% original blue remaining. Magazine tube fully functioning with original plunger and spring tension. Some blue missing where forend slides forward and backward. Forend excellent with almost no signs of handling. Screw unturned. Takedown receiver with 80% original blue with balance a mottled finish(see photos). Some areas of surface rust on top but no pits or salt and peppering(will clean to excellent). Takedown knob only used once or twice excellent. Original buttstock finish like new and never sanded. Slight hairline to right wrist with no losses(just needs some TLC and a bit of glue and will disappear). Original steel buttplate with unturned screws.
