General Specs: Winchester, Year 1937, 20 Gauge, 6lbs 9oz, SxS Serial Number: 11360 Most double gun enthusiasts are well aware of the reputation earned by the Winchester Model 21; a gun of far superior strength and mechanical genius that was under the micro management of John Olin himself. With only 32,000 produced (compared to 250,000 Parkers!), any high condition Model 21 is a valuable, investment quality firearm sure to appreciate as you enjoy its use. From 1930 to 1980 they only made about 2900 20 gauge guns in all grades, most of them weighing well over 6 3/4lbs. many over 7lbs. To find a Model 21 20ga. that weighs just 6lbs. 9oz. is an event. Anybody who walks long distances in the field appreciates a 6 1/2lb. gun by the end of the day. Model 21's are fully capable of shooting the most powerful loads available, SO IF YOU LIKE MAGNUM LOADS FOR PHEASANTS, DUCKS, OR OTHER TOUGH GAME, THIS IS YOUR GUN. This gun, sn11360 produced in 1937 shows incredible workmanship with jeweled barrel flats, water table, forend iron, and breech face; perfect wood to metal fit on the English walnut stock, crisp trigger, strong well timed ejectors, the finest polish on the metal prior to finishing, top quality aftermarket engraving...a masterpiece Olin would be proud of. I get to look at a lot of fine guns with top quality engraving. The engraving on this gun is better than most of the factory original engraved guns. The gun shows as new in all ways, is mechanically perfect, and a real looker in the way of decoration. Presently set up for a shorter shooter with its 13 3/8 LOP to a checkered butt from a mid- position single selective trigger, we can easily install a proper Winchester pad on the gun to increase LOP to 14 1/4". We made a good buy on this fine Model 21 and now you have an opportunity to have a very nicely engraved 20 gauge for a very reasonable price. A perfect gun for upland birds or clay targets, don't let this one get away! Thanks for looking!
